Meet the Mindwalk Yoga team

We are a collective of well-being facilitators devoted to increasing well-being accessibility for Black folk. We have diverse skills, experiences and mindsets, which means there is something for everyone.

Daviann Walker (she/her) Livestream Community Support

Davi graduated from a master's degree in English Literature in 2018, and now is an Outreach Programme Manager alongside being Livestream Community Support for Mindwalk Yoga. Davi has a passion for words and film and enjoys creative writing and listening to audiobooks when not working or tutoring.

Karen James (she/her) Yin Yoga, Chair Yoga and Yoga Nidra Teacher

Karen is a yoga teacher with a passion for making yoga accessible to all. She has been teaching yoga since 2019 and has experience in facilitating a variety of classes, including yin, chair, gentle yoga, and yoga Nidra. With a deep understanding of the benefits of yoga for all body types and abilities, Karen is dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all practitioners. 

Natasha CocoRed Lee (she/her) Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Flow Teacher

Coco is a Movement Artist and Wellbeing Facilitator. In 2017 during a trip to Bali, CocoRed deeply connected to Yoga encompassing the spiritual, holistic and physical realms of the practice. Her teaching draws on her career as a dancer and choreographer with a spiritual and anatomic alignment-focused style of practice. CocoRed’s classes are playful, creative and accessible, they embody breathwork and a deep awareness of the body.

Paula Hines (she/her) Restorative Yoga Teacher

Paula has been practising yoga for 20 years and teaching for 10 years. Specialising in restorative yoga, yin yoga and yoga nidra, Paula is also an accredited Menopause Yoga teacher. Paula draws on her own experience of yoga as a tool for transformation and to aid recovery from injury, trauma and stress led her to train as a teacher and fuels her desire to share the life-enhancing benefits of yoga with others. Paula is also a published author, her debut book is Rest + Calm, a beautifully written gentle yoga and mindfulness guidebook.

Zakiya Bishton (she/her) Founder, Operational Lead and Yoga Therapy for Anxiety Teacher

Zakiya is a British Wheel of Yoga teacher and has specific training in yoga therapy for anxiety, trauma, and insomnia. Zakiya has been practising yoga for 20 years and teaching for 12+ years. For Zakiya, yoga doesn’t start or end on a mat, it is a way of life, a way of approaching people and situations through a curious, considered, and empathetic lens. Zakiya’s intention with Mindwalk Yoga is to provide a safe, healing and accessible yoga space led by Black folk.

Cherelle Sappleton (she/her + they/them) Healing Sound Therapist

Cherelle is a Healing Sound Therapist and visual artist. Cherelle has always had a love of music which often inspires her artwork, she became fascinated with therapeutic sound practices after experiencing her first sound bath and almost immediately enrolled on a Sound Therapy course to know more and share its benefits with others.

Nicole Windle (she/her) Vinyasa Flow Teacher

Nicole is a Yoga teacher, Reformer Pilates teacher, Sound Therapist & Thai Masseuse. Nicole qualified as a Yoga teacher in 2015 in India, and she shares a thoughtful Vinyasa Flow practice that invites practitioners to explore their bodies flexibility.
